The Student Emergency Fund is for when an unexpected financial challenge makes staying in school harder.
The fund provides a bursary, paid out quickly, when an unexpected cost threatens a student’s ability to continue their studies. It’s sustained by donor generosity, and most years it’s spent before the year is out.
Giving Day festivities kick off November 1, when every gift to the Student Emergency Fund begins making twice the impact. Through Giving Day, gifts will be doubled, up to $10,000, made possible by a generous donation from Larry Hesterman.
